Erin Price - MA Performance
Erin is a multidisciplinary Laboratory practitioner based in the North of England. With a focus on the visual she aims to illustrate human connection through the use of puppetry and found object animation. Drawing on her experience with collaborative devised ensembles she intends to push the limit of disbelief and explore the complexities of humanity through non-human forms. The fact that objects do not have to adhere to these forms allows for them to be removed from predetermined biases and enables them to be used as a lever for emotional expression.
At the root of this practice is the belief that performance isn’t a commodity; it isn’t a luxury. Through community based applied theatre projects, Erin has developed a desire to use her puppetry skills to expand accessibility in the arts; using this form as a vehicle for audience / performer connection.
