Grace Bibby - BA (Hons) Photography
My Still Life project was inspired by traditional Still Life paintings and the symbolism of different flowers that feature in them. I have created this work with a strong focus on female artists and photographers making similar work to me as they have been historically underrepresented. Using flowers and fruit I have created interesting compositions and explored the idea of the domestic space and femininity in this often-overlooked genre of art. I have considered my relationships with the women in my life and growing up whilst making this project and chose flowers to reflect emotions of love, fear and hope.
I am an artist based in the North-West of England. My work consists of lots of colour and form and I enjoy creating unique compositions and interesting images.
