Dependence
In life furniture is an essential component we all use every day without a second thought. My aim with this project ‘Dependence’ is to highlight this seemingly forgotten dependence we have on furniture by changing how it is engaged with. When people use furniture, they trust that it will be able to support them, I have created a piece that seems weak off first glance. This trust is then earnt back when the user cautiously sits down, realising that its slender frame warps around their body to hold them in place.
