Lonely is the Desert Flower
My showcasing project 'Lonely is the Desert Flower' is a dedication my love of literature and storytelling. In my work I have used a range of archival print processes and traditional hand embroidery techniques to create a futuristic but plausible design concept that is visually beautiful and elegant. during the project I set myself a goal to 'design without context' which in retrospect is an impossible task. I felt that by setting this goal gave my design process an expansive space in which my work took a unique and imaginative pathway. I have worked hard this year to develop my conceptual design process to allowing my audience to make connections and encourage the human experience.
