Comfort creatures
‘Comfort Creatures’ are sensory learning aids to be used within education to help reduce stress and anxieties, improve concentration and create a more productive and relaxed learning environment. My designs were made in response to my own personal experience at school as well as the rise in mental health issues amongst young people in recent years and how schools can support and aid their students through the encouragement of mental well being strategies and use of sensory learning aids within the classroom. My creatures are a safe space in which to find calm, self soothe and escape from the stress of day to day life, inviting you into their world of tranquility through the exploration of touch.
