The death toll from a chain of cult activity is spiraling a city into chaos. People are becoming abominations in search of ascension, the perfection of mind, body, and spirit, and are willing to commit unspeakable acts to contribute to the great work. An investigation into the bloodstained underbelly may unveil truths best left obscured, but perhaps its revelation will bring power to those in need of it. 

Based on the informational booklets that came in the packaging of video game cartridges and disks, Anima Stigmata is simultaneously a world-building and conceptual art project to create a handbook for a hypothetical fantasy-horror video game. With reference to alchemical philosophy, occultist texts, and renaissance history, the project is an homage to my love for horror and fantasy media of all kinds.
