Degradation
Degradation explores the inevitable decline of mind and matter through the fusion of both sculptures and photography. Exploring themes of mental health, aging, decay, and emotional deterioration, the work questions our perceptions of reality and the truthfulness of photography by altered perspectives and manipulation. Each piece captures a moment in the process of degradation, from the crumbling of materials to the despair of emotional and cognitive states. Through the interplay of texture, form, and image, Degradation reveals the shared vulnerability between the human condition and the physical world, juxtaposing the fragile with the enduring and inviting reflection on the beauty and tragedy of decline.
