Tia Farrell - BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation
I am an illustrator and printmaker who specialises in textural black and white illustration and lino printing. My work is inspired by Japanese influences, gothic art, folklore and mythology, and I enjoy creating narratives within my work due to my love for storytelling and book illustration.
Whilst my illustration process combines both traditional and digital methods, my interest in printmaking developed as a reaction to the digital world as I began to desire a more tactile approach to my work, with the physical act of carving lino allowing me to achieve a more physical approach. Thinking towards the future, I am to combine my multi-disciplinary interests in printmaking, tattooing and publishing within a freelance career.
