THE QUIET STITCH

My work lies at the intersection of architecture, interior design, urban design, and landscape, with a focus on creating spaces that respond sensitively to people, place, and context. I am deeply interested in how design can move beyond the purely aesthetic or functional, becoming instead a medium for wellbeing, cultural continuity, and social connection.

In my projects, I have sought to work across scales, from the intimate detail of interiors to the broader frameworks of urban planning and landscape design. I see these layers not as separate disciplines, but as interconnected dimensions of the built environment that together shape how people live, work, and interact with their surroundings. For example, my interior projects have explored how lighting, materiality, and zoning can support mental health and social prescribing, while my architectural work has looked at ways of adapting historic buildings through sensitive interventions that preserve character while introducing new forms of use.

Urban design and landscape have also been central to my thinking. I am drawn to the challenge of reconnecting fragmented urban fabrics, whether through accessible public spaces, elevated walkways, or riverside landscapes that act as both ecological buffers and social gathering spaces. The landscape, in my view, is not a backdrop but a generative force in design which a way to create continuity between the built and natural worlds.

What ties all of this together is a desire to create spaces that feel both grounded in their context and open to new possibilities. I aim to design environments that are adaptable, inclusive, and meaningful. Places that bring people together, support communities, and contribute to long-term resilience. Through this integrated approach, I see design as both a creative and ethical act: A way of shaping not just buildings or interiors, but lived experiences and collective futures.
