Coco Day - BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation
Coco’s practise focuses on uplifting the voices of those who are often overlooked in society, especially women and the queer community. She likes to take more serious topics and approach them through a positive lens, using bold shapes, bright colours, and playful ideas to ignite a sense of hope and inspire action. Her aim is to spread joy through fun characters and silly scenes, using her unique and graphic style to stand out.
While she often works digitally, printmaking is her preferred method, with a current love for risograph. She enjoys letting go of control and seeing which happy accidents come out of the process. Coco believes there's something special about holding a physical piece that digital just can't replace.
Coco’s work has been exhibited at the MMU LGBTQ+ Society fundraiser (2025), the Lights Up x Aah! Magazine exhibition in Manchester Central Library (2025), and in the MMU Poetry Library (2025). Clients include Blendsmiths for packaging illustration (2025).
