The Everyplace

My practice revolves around my interests in time, place, culture and society. I am an interdisciplinary designer and art director who focusses on creating visual narratives, identities, strategies and experiences for culture, arts and heritage. With a varied background encompassing historical research, digital marketing, and third sector communications, I enjoy collaborative projects that cross boundaries!

Modern travel is increasingly shaped by algorithm-driven recommendations and standardised itineraries that prioritise major landmarks, commercialised experiences and viral spots. As a result, travellers often miss the layered, idiosyncratic, and deeply local character of a city - hidden stories, unnoticed corners, and everyday magic. There is a need for platforms that encourage slow, serendipitous exploration and imaginative engagement with both real and fictional geographies.

The Everyplace aims to address this gap by imagining a travel platform where users can discover and contribute stories tied to places - both real and imagined - encouraging a deeper, more creative form of urban exploration. By including locally organised events and story-driven maps, the platform invites users to wander, loiter, and notice the overlooked narratives of a city beyond its tourist veneer. I developed The Everyplace as a travel tool that weaves culture and heritage into a multidisciplinary exploration of urban space - how it's constructed, perceived, and mediated. The visual identity reflects this with ambigous shapes, grainy textures and a lack of rigid rules. I want people to use The Everyplace to discover the layered realities that expand what it means to "know" a city.
