Emily Brittain - BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Within my practice, I strive to create work that pushes boundaries and communicates meaningful messages. More recently in my design journey, I’ve been drawn to the principle of design for good and advocacy. This interest led me to take on briefs that aligned with these values- such as my final project, Get Savvy, a campaign designed to promote independent businesses. And a project in second year discussing issues surrounding digital addiction encouraging people to reduce screen time, Guide. 

Alongside my passion for advocacy, I have a strong interest in visual storytelling and identity creation. Another one of my favourite projects from my final year at Manchester School of Art focused on brand identity. I explored this through designing a dynamic brand identity for Brand Opus drinks company through my project Bounce

Furthermore, my work is driven by detail and intention, aiming to create designs that invite people to look closer, evoke emotion, and form their own unique interpretations.
