As an aspiring filmmaker, I specialise in cinematography and editing, with a strong passion for visual storytelling that pushes creative boundaries. I'm particularly drawn to experimental cinema, films that challenge traditional narrative structures and provoke thought, inviting the audience to question deeper meanings and interpretations. My visual style leans toward fast-paced, movement-driven imagery that captivates viewers and keeps them engaged. I enjoy exploring the relationship between rhythm, motion, and emotion, using dynamic visuals to enhance the narrative experience.
For my major film project, I collaborated with Libby Doyle on an artist moving image piece titled ‘Claws & Clause: A Fashion Film’. This experimental work uses the recurring motif of animal print to symbolise the damaging impact of fast fashion on both the environment and the fashion industry itself. Through bold visual metaphors and stylised aesthetics, the film critiques consumer culture while celebrating the power of artistic expression as social commentary.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time on the filmmaking course and deeply value the skills I’ve developed along the way, skills I’ll carry with me into future projects. While I recognise there’s still much to learn, I’m proud of the work I’ve created so far and excited by the progress I’ve made. Looking ahead, I aim to continue growing as a filmmaker, with a particular focus on developing my abilities in directing and producing. Since completing the course, I’ve been full of new film concepts that I’m eager to explore, and I’m excited to see how these ideas take shape in the near future.
