Erin Leigh Woods - BA (Hons) Fine Art
Erin Leigh Woods is a 21 year old artist from Northumberland whose practice explores themes of self-reflection, human connection to nature, and fragmented identity. Working primarily with gouache, watercolour, and acrylic, their paintings often use symbolic figures and expressive colour palettes to evoke a sense of emotional landscape. Drawing inspiration from the natural environment of her northern heritage, as well as literature. Erin’s work is deeply informed by ecological thinking and a sensitivity to place. Through layered brushwork, translucent textures, and intuitive compositions, she invites viewers to reflect on their own relationship to land, memory, and belonging. Her practice is both poetic and grounded in observation, yet driven by an emotional and symbolic response to the world around them.
