Georgina Kenyon - BA (Hons) Fine Art
Georgie Kenyon’s work serves as an act of remembrance, transporting the quiet complexities of everyday moments into expressive painterly reflections. Drawing from life and photographs, she captures the fleeting beauty found in the mundane, transforming images from their place of origin into intimate visual narratives. Her depictions alternate subject focus from piece to piece, depending on what details of the inspiration are most prominent to her; either the human experience of that moment, filled with its complex and rich emotions or the physical setting and surroundings of it, paying more attention to the idea of ‘place’
Through a delicate interplay of light, colour, and texture, Kenyon’s paintings invite viewers to find comfort in the familiar and curiosity in the unknown. Her manipulation of paint, infused with both intention and spontaneity, becomes a meditation on time. In this process, the canvas becomes a space of both preservation and revelation, where the past is gently reimagined, and the transient becomes eternal.
