Shaping Shadows

Light is an integral material in my work, guiding design and shaping our perception of existing forms. It becomes both the subject and the object of my practice. My process is a continuous cycle of investigating shadows, reinterpreting them through drawings on glass, and transforming them back into shadows. Through this, the transparency of glass and the intangibility of light become interdependent, each defining and relying on the other to exist.

Shaping Shadows consists of laser-engraved and hand-stippled glass panels depicting drawings of light and shadow. Each piece is a variation of a single image, gradually becoming more abstract to reflect the fleeting, ephemeral nature of shadows. Rather than treating the glass as a static object, I view it as a surface for transformation—one that only comes to life through its interaction with light.
