Dragons in The Cloud
My design philosophy transforms the fluidity of traditional Vietnamese garments into contemporary tailoring. I aim to modernise heritage while preserving the original cultures through refined silhouettes, rich textiles, and symbolic detailing. "Dragons in the Clouds" reflects a deep exploration of Vietnamese dynastic history--mythical dragons, royal architecture, and ceremonial garments--reinterpreted through precise cuts and layered construction. In an era where fashion often loses cultural depth, I strive to contribute meaningful design rooted in identity. My work offers a fresh perspective that bridges the elegance of the past with the structure of modern design. This contribution is crucial now, as global fashion is now a bridge between cross cultures, people to people through sharing a similar passion for thriving to learn. The heart of my process lies in sampling, fittings, and fabric manipulation. From laser-cut motifs to bonded jacquards and sunray pleats, each garment showcases technical refinement and symbolic meaning. The final three digital outfits emphasise tailored forms enriched by heritage motifs.
