Nathan Baggott

Nathan Baggott - BA (Hons) Music and Sound Design

Nathan is a producer and mixing engineer from Stockport and has been a guitarist in indie rock band 'The Wears' for the last 6 years. Helping produce many of the band's releases, it has led to a passion for production and mixing, with indie/alt rock and heavy rock being his main genres, and he has been developing these skills for the last three years within the studio spaces available in Manchester Metropolitan University's School of Digital Arts (SODA). Nathan also has experience recording in various professional studios including Hope Mill Studios in Manchester, UK and Studio Allouette in Confolens, France and is looking forward to the future after University, where he hopes to continue to hone his craft and work with bands across Manchester and beyond, further developing his professional portfolio.

For his final project at SODA, Nathan wanted to showcase his production, mixing and mastering skills by recording three original indie rock songs. By making use of the analogue equipment, microphones, and studios within SODA, the goal of this project was to create three professional sounding singles that are ready for release on streaming platforms and can be added to his production and mixing portfolio. Nathan hopes to use this project to not only to showcase his skills, but land production and mixing work with other bands and in studios across the UK as well as work with other producers to further develop his skills.
