Nirmeeti Borkar - MA Design Innovation
I am Nirmeeti Borkar, currently pursuing an MA in Design Innovation. With a foundation in Industrial Design, my journey has evolved from designing products to designing systems, services, and futures. What began as a passion for problem-solving has grown into a deeper commitment to creating meaningful impact through empathy, systems thinking, and emotional connection.
My practice is guided by values of empathy, adaptability, and collaboration. I thrive in user-centered design, translating research and insights into clear narratives that inform strategy and innovation. From exploring inclusive design in product development to investigating the social and emotional value of play in speculative projects, I see design as a tool to strengthen human connection and improve everyday experiences.
I am particularly drawn to roles that allow me to bridge creativity and strategy, such as Service Design, Design Strategy, and Innovation Consulting. These areas align with my interest in tackling complex challenges, facilitating co-creation, and designing for social impact. My goal is to contribute to work that not only solves problems but also empowers people and communities to thrive.
For me, design is not just about what we create, but about the futures we imagine and the change we enable.
