My work concerns stolen bicycles, the city, and disappearing industries. Through photography, I seek to raise public awareness of these unnoticed phenomena. I am a commercial photographer but my practice aims to explore the cultural narratives and values that beyond commercial value.
In Manchester, I photograph those bicycles that have been stolen and abandoned in the streets. These bicycles appearing and vanishing like wild grass, each carry specific reasons and narratives for their abandonment. Preserving their final images as witnesses
In my individual project, I focus on the decline of the British motorcycle industry, which reached its peak in the 1950s but suffered a rapid collapse in the 1970s. This project aims to use photography to explore the stories about this vanishing industry chain including craftsmen, workshops, and techniques.
