Fjeron and the lands between
My graduate film follows the influence of a range of materials, particularly from fantasy games and anime. During the production of my storyline, an integral part of the concept was the creation of four adventurers inspired by friends that I often play online games with inside of a hero's journey structure.
Logline: A newly formed guild of adventurers embark on thrilling quests across the magical land of Fjeron, culminating in a high-stakes battle against a disastrous final foe threatening their world.
Along with 2D animation, I aspire to grow my skills in the area of concept art and character design, so the pre-production of my film was very focused on designing a large range of characters including humans and monsters. I created all of the artwork and animation independently, but had some storytelling and art direction assistance from my partner, Lyle Dewhurst. Further collaboration included music writing and production by Oscar Taylor and Felix Nowland, with extra sound effects from Epidemic Sound.
On this profile I will include the trailer for my film, with the full film being screened only in person until a potential release later in the year. I am interested in a professional career surrounding animation with specialism in hand-drawn 2D animation, concept art, storyboarding, editing, and visual development.
