Raj Gajhans - MA Filmmaking
I’m a filmmaker and cinematographer, currently pursuing my MA in Filmmaking at Manchester Metropolitan University. I already hold a Master’s degree in Mass Media and Communication, and my self-taught passion for filmmaking has evolved into a career. I’ve worked on some amazing projects. As the Lead Cinematographer for The Shanks, a comedy-drama pilot produced by Factory International, I crafted the visual style for a high-profile project with one of the world’s most innovative arts organizations. I’ve also been an Assistant Cinematographer for a commercial ad, contributing to the fast-paced world of brand storytelling. My role as DOP for a documentary sharpened my skills in cinematic storytelling.
Additionally, I’ve made short films, including one for the Imperial War Museum North , which pushed my storytelling and technical skills. I’ve worked as a Camera Operator for Manchester School of Arts, been a full-time Content Creator and Social Media Manager, and freelanced as a photographer and cinematographer.
