My design practice revolves around texture; I aim to convey emotions and stories through the sense of touch as that is what I feel is one of the most important aspects of designing. My background in Fine Art serves as inspiration for my work and I’ve always been fascinated by representations of the body and flesh. Storytelling is central to my work. I enjoy creating garments that exude sweetness and delicacy at first glance but evoke a sense of unease upon closer look. My specialism is in surface design and print and I love combining various printing techniques with manipulated fabrics to achieve unique results. Curiosity, creativity, fun and self-expression are key values in my designing; influencing every step of the design and construction process.
