My name is Cheikh Niang, and I am a concept-led creative, starting with values before visuals. I spend time researching, thinking and refining ideas, often exploring themes of identity, belonging, migration and faith. My perspective is grounded in intention and responsibility, shaping both what I choose to make and what I choose not to engage with.

Driven by curiosity and a drive for innovation, I seek unconventional ways to express my ideas through design, experimental concepts, and boundary-pushing narratives. I’m particularly focused on challenging dominant Eurocentric design perspectives, what is often labelled as “modern” or “Western” frequently draws from deeper Arabic, African, and Asian visual traditions. My work aims to reconnect with these histories not as references, but as living systems of thought, language, and meaning.
