Ella Huntzinger- BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation
Ella Huntzinger is an American mixed media artist and illustrator whose practice centres on strange forms, heavily influenced by her love for nature. She is fascinated by all things unusual, and pulls ideas from memories, collected objects and everyday observations. She finds inspiration from traditional fine art practices and artists while still working through an illustrative lense. Influenced by her interest in natural life forms, Ella creates colorful artworks, working within a wide subject area. Some examples include plants, microorganisms, space and marine life.
Ella uses a variety of materials such as watercolor, ink and chalk pastel to create vibrant illustrations, emphasizing color and texture in all her work. She loves to use methods that lead to unique spontaneous outcomes but will also use digital methods for later refinement
