Lokrum Island

I have developed a specialism drawing through linoprint and relief printmaking techniques over the course of my degree. I love working in fine detail, whilst also exploring abstraction. My main source of inspiration comes from nature, animals and my immediate surroundings. I aim to produce work that speaks to wide audiences and love to create bold, unique pieces. I sometimes use digital process to craft sophisticated fusions of imagery, drawing from analogue processes, weaving linoprints together, into yet more complex pattern and shape.

This project focused on "Lokrum Island" which is a nature reserve and botanical garden island in croatia. The island is extremely hisorical and I created a set of 10 reduction lino prints focused on different animals and plants native to the island. I produced these into posters promoting the island which were then developed into island merchandise and later created into repeat patterns for other uses such as wrapping paper and wall papers.
