Ode to the Pigeon
Ode to the pigeon shines a light on our forgotten hero’s who saved lives in wars, and were domesticated by humans, pigeons have since been abandoned by the very people they belong to. This ready-to-wear collection brings beauty and historical context to the discarded birds, hoping to encourage people to explore these intelligent creatures, with an evening wear elegance fit for any expressive dresser.
My personal admiration for these animals drives my passion within this collection, as I hope to change the common perspective of “rats with wings” to honour all they have done, and to remind everyone that we have a duty of care over any animal, regardless of the stereotypes society has labelled them with.
