Leonie Hurtado- BA (Hons) Graphic Design
I am a graphic designer who also specialises in animation and filmmaking. I believe in designing for a purpose, whether that be fixing a problem, educating people, or just having fun. I work within local communities, doing things like designing brands for cultural events and running creative workshops. From a young age, I found it easy to connect with different kinds of people. I have always had an affinity for communication with all ages and abilities, and this shows through everything I do. I have been a mentor, a leader, a teacher, and an artist. This has made me a flexible designer who understands that design will always be a collaborative process. On top of this, I also enjoy the quirk of things. As a person, I have never quite fit the mould, so I love to put my own spin on things through my designs. First and foremost, I think graphic design should be fun, interesting, and accessible. I strive to achieve this with my design and hope to build my career around this idea.
