AUDACITY

I am a Fashion Communication graduate with interests spanning fashion journalism, photography, public relations and brand communications. My practice is driven by a curiosity about the relationship between fashion, culture and politics, exploring how visual communication can both reflect and challenge wider social narratives. My final major project, AUDACITY, explores the political realities of queer life through the lens of drag culture. Developed in response to the structural and financial barriers faced by performers, the project proposes a drag-focused foundation garment brand that supports transformation while challenging assumptions surrounding gender expression. Through a campaign centred on visibility and education, AUDACITY positions drag as a practice that is shaped by labour, creativity and resilience. While the work presented here focuses on the public-facing campaign, additional imagery documenting the full process of drag transformation is available upon request. As these photographs capture more intimate aspects of the transformation journey and the lived reality underpinning the project, they have not been included within the wider public showcase. Whether through editorial storytelling, image-making or campaign development, I am interested in how fashion communication can be used to create dialogue around contemporary social and cultural issues. As I move into industry, I hope to continue developing work that sits at the intersection of fashion, media and culture, with a particular interest in editorial, communications and public relations.
