Matthew Laycock-Hall’s work is an act of incorporating multiple mediums. Through a history of graphic design, illustration and animation, he has incorporated various techniques both traditional and digital into his work that explores worlds, humans, and technology. His outcomes and process reflect into how each one of his works are carefully designed and defined. Exploring how narrative, composition, and the spectator are entangled in his work, he experiments with the way these elements influence perception and he allows the spectators to construct their own conception.
Construct to reconstruct is a method that he explores throughout all of his work; exploring the different possibilities that each element has.
