My graduate fashion collection, 'Dovetail: Ornament and Offering' is inspired by ecclesiastical architecture and tessellated surfaces, translating structure into softness. My research and development includes windows and tiles, church doors, walls and arches.
My fourth look, exhibited in the Degree Show, features a knitted hoop dress combining mercerised cotton and spun rayon on the gauge 12 Shima. The rest of my collection includes Pigment and Devore screen printing on Silk Dupion and Crepeline, developed from rosary beads and Pablo Picasso's Dove of Peace linocut, and porcelain ceramic bead necklaces.
