Seren O'Toole- BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation
Seren O’Toole is an Irish illustrator and printmaker whose practice centres around mono-screen printing. Through layered, tactile prints, her work explores themes of life, memory, and sense of place, drawing from her experience of growing up in the West of Ireland. Using everyday imagery and overlooked landscapes as reference points, she creates atmospheric works that reflect on quiet moments, familiarity and the sense of belonging.
Her practice considers the contrast between rural and urban environments, shaped by the landscapes of her upbringing and urban life. Rooted in experimentation and the physical act of making, she works directly onto the screen, embracing immediacy and imperfection so that each print exists as a unique outcome. Positioned between illustration and fine art, her work encourages slower, more reflective ways of engaging with place, time, and memory.
