Originally inspired by hill landscape scenery, I aim to capture colour and texture through the tactile translucency of sheet glass. The processes of cutting and fusing allow me to experiment with layering, transparency and hue of colour. Glass is a unique material that offers many possibilities where I am able to explore the use of natural light to create complex, subtle work in both small-scale and large-scale forms. Each piece is distinctive as I use the same colour pallet throughout, however varying features such as the contrast between the grasses, horizon lines and the sky to create that unique sense of beauty within the glass.
