BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice
Being an Illustrative Print Designer, I use textiles as a way of communicating my imagination and expressing my thoughts. My practice throughout my final year of university has focused on blending the worlds of fine art and textiles and showing the connection we, as artists, have to our work. Inspired by traditional artists and painters, I use introspective thinking to create artwork that has a voice of its own and which mirrors a person or story with meaning. My ambition is to create a deeper understanding of textiles and expand how we look at them. Within my practice I work across several contexts such as book design, print for clothing, design research, digital art and textural artworks. I also do a lot of Illustration work for external projects like "Diwrnod y Sioe (Show Day)" a Welsh children's book that will be published June 2022.
