Maya Jade Turner
BA (Hons) Interior Design
I am an enthusiastic designer who combines interests from fine art, anthropology and science (i.e. BioDesign, BioMimicry) with interior design concepts in relation to relevant political/social issues in current times: designing spaces that anyone can enjoy and that everyone can be comfortable in.
All recent work has been created with sustainability in mind, using mostly eco-friendly materials as designing sustainably is a huge responsibility as a designer across the board. In past projects I have in fact used live materials such as Mycelium as a material in my design to promote unorthodox materials and sustainability.
Following on from my degree, I would like to dive deeper in to researching the potential of BioDesign and help to make this genre of design more popular as I believe that this could be a positive way forward in the journey to a more environmentally friendly design industry.
