I find comfort in the garish colors, sticky textures, and humorous qualities of kitsch. Through my work, I engage in subversive playfulness and use elements of nostalgia to explore the fallibility of the human body. My practice is characterized by seductive fluid forms that reveal a playful and fetishized relationship with materials like rope, hair, and hosiery. By utilizing these playful and fetishized materials within a kitsch visual language, I invite viewers to confront their personal desires and anxieties surrounding the body. The juxtaposition of these materials creates a tension that can provoke complex emotions of attraction and repulsion.
