BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice
As a knit specialist and textiles designer I have always held bold colour and pattern at the core of my practice. With a background and strong interest in circular fashion my work is designed for a luxury fashion context which is translated through high quality material choices. I have discovered throughout my degree that my work often explores themes of memory and nostalgia, using a playful approach to weave personal narratives into fabric. My final body of work 'Close to Home' is a knitted collection inspired by vintage interior design, my dad and his home, an exploration of vivid colour, pattern and texture, investigating the word 'home' and what it means to me.
