My work is centred around process and craft.
This year my focus has been very much on printmaking, particularly silkscreen printing. Working with scale and engaging with process and materials to produce a range of prints that bring the potentially overlooked subject of Banger Racing to a new audience. I allow the subject to inform my process, working with a variety of tools and materials to make a project successful.
Gathering first-hand primary research excites me, allowing me to conduct projects that usually capture a unique time and a place.
The finished made artefact is important within my work, but the journey there is what interests me.
I think that HOW something has been made is a crucial part in understanding it.
