Poetry Book Cover Project
While I like trying out new things, I have an interest in image-making, with a background in illustration and photography. I enjoy exploring stories and narratives through images and different techniques, working with both digital and analogue tools. My inspiration comes from everywhere around me, from art to the internet. I believe in using design for positive causes so I’m interested in both socially conscious and environmentally sustainable design.
For this book cover redesign project, I did the collages by hand to subvert the expectations of modern poetry books having minimalistic graphic covers, and to give the books a personal sense. I kept the rest of the covers minimal so that the visuals would stand out most. Each book has its own individual spine colour that also compliments each other as a series.
