What are you hiding?
Exploring how a being can express themselves using their selves, the concept of exposing and expressing the human form is an alluring idea for me. It evokes an experimental nature within my thoughts. It allows me to explore avenues of my work which can create images that create a narrative and capture a personal moment in time. I work a lot with the self-portrait, as I feel that it allows me to perform ideas and concepts to their true potential from my imagination. My main area of photography involves capturing the human form in a provocative and experimental format. Exploring ideas of sexuality, identity self-expression and relationships. This project surrounds the concept of the 'hidden body' and the exploration of censorship. Showing the hiding and revealing of the body, aiming to express how we expose or hide ourselves from the world, with personal and intimate aspects of ourselves including personality and identity. This also explores the body and how society censors it.
