Stella Rush
BA (Hons) Graphic Design
I like to spend my time sifting through scrapbooks, archives and library books, collecting material for a new project. My love for research is prevalent throughout my work and especially reflected in my publication ‘is there anybody out there (greetings to our friends in the sky)’. I like to be able to hold my work at the end of a project and appreciate the physicality of my idea finally brought to life. Artists’ books/publications are where my interests lie, I particularly enjoy the work of independent publishers like centre centre and four corners. My focus is to be considerate and thoughtful in my design process, taking inspiration from the more delicate and subtle details in life. I’m excited by the creative possibilities within the boundaries books impose and am keen to continue my exploration into this realm.
