Lisa Rosie - BA (Hons) Textiles In Practice
I am a multidisciplinary Embroidery artist and print maker, my work is heavily rooted in my drawing and illustration skills. I explore these using a range of mediums. My current focus is creating stitch paintings through free machine embroidery. I love being able to bring animals and other things to life using fabric as my canvas and stitch as my paintbrush. I also focus on more traditional printmaking techniques like etching and lino print. I like to combine these different techniques to create fun and playful work. This collection focuses on combining these stitch paintings and dry-point prints with playful sarcastic phrases to create joyful pieces.
