Abigail Connor- BA (Hons) Fine Art
Abigail is an artist and illustrator whose practice explores landscape, memory, and the emotional resonance of place. Working primarily with acrylic, oil, and watercolour, she creates paintings that move between abstraction and representation, drawing on recollections of travel, tropical environments, and sensory experience to construct imagined ‘mindscapes’.
Built through layered washes, gestural marks, and fluid details, her paintings develop atmospheric and ambiguous spaces that balance movement with emotional reflection. Through an intuitive process that embraces spontaneity and material experimentation, the work invites viewers to connect with their own memories and personal interpretations of space.
Alongside her studio practice, Abigail has developed her painting and illustration business, Pretty Pink By Abigail, creating bespoke watercolour artworks that celebrate meaningful places, special moments, and personal stories. Her work includes private commissions, illustrated prints, collaborations with businesses for events and advertising, and live illustration at weddings and celebrations.
As she begins her career beyond university, Abigail aims to further develop her acrylic and oil painting practice while continuing to grow her commissioned work and creative collaborations, allowing her fine art and illustration practices to inform and enrich one another.
