Amélie Chantrey- BA (Hons) Filmmaking
Amélie Chantrey is a Nottingham born filmmaker, residing in both Manchester and Barcelona. She specialises as a producer and 1st AD. Having worked on a handful of student films - most recently ‘Birthday Boy’ - she has expanded her skills in budgeting, scheduling and her craft as a producer.
She was drawn to the collaboration and ambition of the project, wishing to work closely with each crew member to help the vision come to fruition. She also loves the problem-solving skills required for both roles.
Alongside producing, she works as a 1st AD having been credited on ‘TACKY’ (Ray, 2025), ‘BIRTHDAY BOY’ (Norris, 2026) and ‘THE SEQUENCER PROJECT’ (Marsh, 2026) and is wishing to practice the craft further.
Amélie prides herself on being a confident, headstrong yet bubbly filmmaker - always focusing on her crew and the collaborative nature of filmmaking.
