Glowing Lines

Glowing Lines investigates growth as a non-linear process, exploring the contradiction

between the body's natural course and the elements that interject with it illness, mental

states, and lived experience. The project challenges the assumption that growth is purely

physical or tied to age, instead examining how it manifests internally and externally, across

all different forms and phases of life.

Light is central to this work, used to conceal and reveal both physical and internal instances

of growth hair transplants, uncontrollable bodily change, scars left by illness, and the

quieter, invisible growth that occurs in response to different environments and experiences.

Glowing Lines presents intimate portraits and close-ups of subjects, each capturing a

different relationship with growth. Through vanity, anxiety, survival, and adaptation, the

work examines what it truly means to grow, how it is constantly happening, and what interrupts that process.
