Fleur Brooke-Jones is a Welsh artist whose practice explores themes of identity through constructed scenes, engaging with herself in them. She is intrigued as to how the self can be represented, duplicated and altered to show these relationships and variations of the same identity. These themes are further reinforced through the visual links of clothing, props and repetition.

Brooke-Jones is inspired by the everyday photograph, candid and observational scenes whilst equally interested in the highly staged and constructed image. Acting as both the subject and director allows her to have complete control over how the photograph is composed. Having the work displayed through large-format printing provides a scale in which the viewer can engage with the scene beyond the limitations of small prints or digital screens.
