Jessie Edwards paints delicate, small-scale compositions which draw the viewer in. By setting these works in installations which cocoon the viewer, she creates an intimate space for private reflection. Her richly coloured, sensitively painted works connote organic life. In face of the many pressures and divisions of contemporary life, her work provides relief, expressing the beautiful and intricate nature of our world and our humanity. She encourages viewers to look inward, to further understand and connect with both the outer world and themselves.
