Room to Grow

As a textile designer, I am inspired by the stories, experiences, and environments that shape how we connect with the spaces around us. My practice is rooted in trend research, experimentation, and a passion for colour, pattern, and visual storytelling. I am particularly interested in translating emerging cultural and consumer trends into creative outcomes that feel both contemporary and meaningful, balancing creativity with commercial relevance.

My graduate collection, Room to Grow, explores the relationship between textile design, emotional wellbeing, and the home. Through considered combinations of colour, texture, and pattern, the project investigates how interiors can influence mood, transforming living spaces into environments that support creativity, comfort, restoration, and self-expression. Rather than viewing the home solely as a functional space, Room to Grow presents it as a place where people can feel, create, and evolve.

Inspired by Spring/Summer 26/27 trends, the collection is divided into four distinct narratives. Parisian Dreams evokes romantic nostalgia through vintage-inspired motifs and boutique hotel influences; Timeless Deco reimagines Art Deco through refined geometric forms and modern elegance; Botanical Heritage celebrates warmth and authenticity through florals and heritage references; while the Baby and Toddler collection creates nurturing, nature-inspired environments designed to soothe and support early discovery.

Through this project, I explore how trend-led textile design can create meaningful emotional connections, demonstrating the potential of pattern and colour to enrich everyday experiences within the home.
