Online self-hood is a performance that can be fragmented across different platforms and contexts. Olivia’s work uses live projection and twin monitors displaying "data-moshed" avatars to explore the construction of the self in digital spaces. Olivia brings the digital “double” into physical space using a live webcam and Python script to translate viewers' movements into binary ASCII art. By using physical buttons to create layered 'stamps' of themselves, Olivia invites viewers to reclaim their agency, offering a spectrum of engagement from complete anonymity to full reinvention without the constraints of a physical body.
