Visual storytelling is the focus of my work, I enjoy exploring characterization and narrative building, particularly in the creation of comics.
In my practice I use traditional media such as ink and fine liner to create monochromatic illustrations, utilizing line work and texture to bring the characters to life. I also work digitally, using Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Photoshop to create detailed and vibrant illustrations.
My interest in history inspires my creative process. Whether it be through creating post-apocalyptic worlds informed by the destruction of war or combining the American West with animals in my comic, The Littlest Cowboy.
My comic, The Littlest Cowboy, tells the story of a Raccoon Cowboy fighting against adversity for being different. Created using ink and brush pen I aimed to create a short and concise narrative which would allow the reader to quickly engage with the characters and storyline.
